Collegiate Merchandising Association
The Collegiate Merchandising Association is a registered student organization at the Florida State University. CMA was found in 1987 and is FSU's oldest and largest fashion club on campus. CMA helps students prepare for a successful transition into a career in retailing through presentations, activities and guest speakers. We aim to provide students with valuable information about the world that awaits them upon graduation. CMA also publishes full color, bound fashion magazine Clutch once a semester.
American Association of Textile Chemists & Colorist Student Chapter
The American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists FSU chapter addresses the interests of students related to textile product development and quality assurance. It is affiliated with the national organization and members attend national and regional conferences when possible. The student organization provides hands-on experience for students by producing a fashion show every semester, hosting guest speakers at meetings, attending the Atlanta Apparel Mart every Fall, and creating socials for students to network and learn more about the industry.
Black Retail Action Group
The Florida State Chapter of Black Retail Action Group (BRAGfsu) was founded in order to create, endorse, and encourage collegiate participation in the retail sector. We aim to educate college students who are interested in fashion, to expand their interest in this dynamic field. As a chapter of the national organization Black Retail Action Group, USA, BRAGfsu serves as a liaison between college students in the Tallahassee area and encourages the participation of minority students in retail and its related industries.
