Jake Martenson tied for first place in this year’s Three Minute Thesis Competition. Jake was one of nine PhD Student finalists in the competition developed by The University of Queensland, Australia. Each student in the competition has three minutes to summarize their dissertation topic as best they can. The judges decide if the content was comprehensive and engaging enough to win one of three prizes. The winner is awarded $1000.00, the runner up $500.00 and the People’s Choice Award is selected by the audience with a prize of $500.00.
