Get to know Lauren
Interests
Lauren received both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in exercise physiology with an M.S. focus on cardiac rehabilitation. She has over fifteen years of experience in the health and wellness field including corporate wellness, retirement community wellness, corporate coaching, and clinical research management of both federal and industry grants. The topics of research grants have included FEMA funded work looking at cardiovascular health in firefighters, supplementation for clinically diagnosed osteoarthritis and pain in the knee, and blueberry and prune supplementation for various health outcomes. She has worked on and off as a clinical research grant coordinator with Dr. Arjmandi for almost ten years. Currently, she oversees a USDA funded clinical research project titled “Dried Plums Prevent Inflammation and Improve Bone Health in Osteopenic Men” and is involved in various aspects of other studies as well.
