- As a communication link between students, faculty and administration;
- As an advocate for graduate students by establishing priorities, presenting ideas, and recommending policies and procedures concerning the College;
- The needs of graduate students through peer mentoring; and
- To promote and facilitate interest in graduate education and scholarly activities.
This program is designed to assist master’s thesis and doctoral students enhance their professional development by presenting their research at professional meetings both in the U.S. and internationally. Applications are accepted in the fall and spring semesters for presentations given July through December and January through June respectively. Please refer to the current year’s program to see if you qualify. The program is contingent upon available funds and is announced at the beginning of the fall semester each year. No late applications will be accepted.
The College of Human Sciences “Dissertation Award Program” provides support through a grant to doctoral candidates for the completion of their dissertation. Funds may be requested for expenses directly related to dissertation research. Proposals are accepted in both the fall and spring semesters. Please view the program’s criteria before applying.
