Undergrad wins competitive grant competition

Allison Janzen, a junior Family and Child Sciences major, has been selected by the Association for Psychological Science as the undergraduate student winner of the Student Grant Competition.
Her proposal, titled “Sustainable Consumption: Dyadic Evaluation and Inducement” highlights the importance of evaluating sustainable consumption within the context of relationships. The project extends understanding of sustainable consumer behavior through evaluation of dyads with the goal of facilitating the development of an evidence-based sustainable consumption intervention.
Janzen’s project was presented at the Annual Conference of the association in Boston. Her research efforts are supervised by Dr. Ross W. May and Dr. Frank D. Fincham at the FSU Family Institute.
